How to solve rune locked vault? ›

Solution is:

Find a lock that switches 4 runes and click on it till you get the corresponding chain unlock. And the final lock should be the one that can switch only itself.

To open the chest you need to click on the floating icons - in the same order as they appear on the stone discs on the wall behind - left to right. The first disc is buried, so you have to rely on the other disks to determine which icon is the buried one and the first to go.

Midgard - The Mountain (Reward: Horn of Blood Mead)

Inside the Mountain, you will start to see runes appear in a room, in addition to a Light Crystal behind some wood. Throw the Leviathan Axe to get access to the light crystal to activate the bridge to the chest.

God of War: Nornir Chest locations. To unlock Nornir chests, you'll need to find seals and smash them with your axe. There are runes on each chest and there will be seals hidden around the area near the chest. You don't need to hit them in order, but you do need to smash them all to open the chest.

The C Rune is found to the left of the Nornir Chest. To get to the R Rune, head clockwise around the arena from the Nornir Chest: jump across the gap, and you'll see two barrels ahead with green Soundstone plates on them. Shoot them with Atreus' Sonic Arrows to reveal a gap in the wall, with the R Rune behind it.

Lockboxes and chests can be opened by rogues using the Pick Lock skill learned at level 16. Your max level lockpicking skill is determined by the level of your character. The basic formula is 'char level x 5'.

To release the locking mechanism on the chest, you need to play both instruments at the same time. You'll need two players for this—one on the harp and the other on the drums. Once you've both interacted with your instrument, run to the chest and you should be able to unlock it.

You can find Runebound Coffer in different locations in Maldraxxus in the House of Rituals and House of Constructs. To open the chest you need to deactivate three runes nearby. Go up the steps after the entrance area to the House of Rituals and then go straight to the end.

Common Problems. Before access to the Vault can be gained, the Dragonscale Expedition first needs to set up in the area, which means starting with the quest Helping Hand and Claw. The only quests it will NOT let you skip are the Zskera Vault quests, which include the 6 Keys. Questline here.

The doors are unlocked by using Zskera Vault Key, obtained from completing activities in the Forbidden Reach.

How many Zskera vault keys do I need? ›

The doors will reset weekly, so you'll need 30 Zskera Vault Keys to unlock all the doors each week. Behind each locked door you'll find a variety of chests, gold piles, or boxes waiting to be looted. There's also the chance that you'll release an enemy too, so be ready to fight whenever you use a key.

In order to open the chest beside Rennala in the Grand Library, you must progress through Ranni's questline. This quest will take you all over the Lands Between as you aid the witch, but most importantly, it will earn you the Discarded Palace Key which is used to unlock the chest.

At the top, look left and drop down the ledge: the R Rune will be above you. After lighting it, you can drop down again to return to the Nornir Chest's area so you can open it!
